We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Resins Operations team based out of our Gaston, SC facility. The ideal candidate for the Resins Training and Compliance Specialist role will be results driven, motivated by technical challenges and has excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills as well as demonstrated strong problem solving skills. Candidate should have the ability to operate independently, present a positive attitude that strenghtens the team, effectively utilize initiative, promote honesty and integrity, respect coworkers, and maintain an open mind during experimental process changes.
Responsibilities
The Resins Training and Compliance Specialist will be reportable to the Day Shift Supervisor and have responsibilities for the following tasks:
- Organize, edit, and develop, training procedure guidelines, and course materials including handouts, visual materials, and training plans.
- Maintains records for employee skills progression, annual safety equipment inspections, and hands on training for department personnel
- Present information, using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures.
- Provides leadership to Resins teams in the area of safe work practices.
- Provide specific training programs to help operators maintain or improve job skills related to production services, product sampling, packaging, materials handling, and maintenance type duties as needed.
- Takes care of package raw materials and bulk loading paperwork
- Responsible for area compliance to Environmental, Safety, Food Safety, ISO program standards among others.
- Conducts periodic auditing of work sites to ensure permits and safe work practices are being followed.
- Inputs purchase requisitions for the procurement of materials needed for the operations area that are not standard stock for the plant site.
- Responsible for certain day shift Resins operations as determined by department management.

- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must not be afraid of heights and working in elevated locations on pipe bridges
- Must be proficient with process equipment
- Must be computer literate, with the ability to navigate basic software and digital tools as required for daily tasks.
- Must be proficient in following standard safe work practices in accordance with company policies and expectations
- Self-motivated, with a positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- SAP Experience
- Experience in Maintenance Coordinator or back-up role preferred
- Experience with Resins Area equipment preferred
