About the Program:
The Alpek Polyester USA Rotational Development Program-Engineering provides new and recent graduates with the opportunity to serve as a change driver, creating a lasting and positive impact on the industry, our customers, and the community. Over 36 to 48 months, you will rotate between assignments that will grow and develop your career. During the program, you will foster your technical and leadership skills through integrated foundational training, as well as coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.

Throughout your rotations you'll have the support of an executive mentor and program coordinator. When you complete your last rotation, you will transition to employment & assignment dedicated to one of are many US Operations locations or US Corporate Headquarters.

Responsibilities

Duration: The program spans 36 months

Rotations:
Part I: Operations (18 months)
Engineering role at one of our manufacturing facilities.
  • Fully dedicated focus in manufacturing operations role, supporting operations projects, while engaging in hands-on experiential learning.
Part II: Non-Operations Support Functions (18 months)
Fully dedicated focus in the given area, hands-on experiential learning within a non-operations support function and/or business unit.
  1. Quality/Lab: 6 months
  2. Mechanical Maintenance & Reliability: 6 months
  3. Supply Chain- 6 months
    1. Logistics: 3 months
    2. S&OP: 3 months

Skills & Qualifications

Program and Position Requirements:
The Alpek Polyester USA Rotational Development Program-Engineering seeks talent who have demonstrated success and the dive to excel. To be considered, candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in an industry relevant field of engineering
  • 3.0 Cumulative GPA minimum (out of 4.0 scale)
  • Minimum of one completed internship/co-op experience, or between 6 months to 2 years (max) full-time relevant work experience related to your field of study
  • Minimum of three-year company commitment post completion of rotational program
  • Geographically mobile: Candidates must be willing and able to relocate multiple times within the U.S. & Canada
  • U.S. work authorized - Future sponsorship for work authorization subject to case-by-case review
Preferred Skills-
  • Training and experience with root cause failure analysis and process safety
