POSITION TITLE:                                 Maintenance/Reliability Engineer

Responsible for the review and design of mechanical and electromechanical systems and products. Review of current methods, and equipment to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the Company. Improves equipment reliability by reducing machine downtime and unscheduled maintenance in a continuous manufacturing process environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides support to the Reliability Process with the compliance and following of the different reliability indicators and reports.
  • Provide technical assistance to the manufacturing team.
  • Support maintenance planning in specification of correct parts and most efficient methods of repair.
  • Drive and complete process data analysis in order to detect potential failure and implement actions.
  • Promote and lead Root Cause Failure Analysis and develop and action plans
  • Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs and recommend improvements.
  • Provide suggestions for new and existing maintenance procedures
  • Perform capital improvement reliability projects and apply management of change
  • Read drawings, schematics, manuals and engineering documentation of equipment operation.
  • Devise new approaches to complex problems through adaptations and modifications of standard technical principles.
  • Days / Hours: Monday – Friday / 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Skills & Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology or similar field AND 5 years’ experience as Supervisor Maintenance or related.
 
Applicant must have 5 years’ experience with the following:
  • Industrial Mechanical Maintenance
  • Planning and implementation of maintenance projects that increase the reliability, cost, and safety of the work area.
  • Managing specification & acquisition of specialized parts for maintenance and store management.
  • Implementation of PM's and PdM's programs in chemical and manufacturing plants
  • Tracking MTBF & MTTF efficiently and reduce the MTTR through the use of thermography, vibration analysis, ultrasound and data analysis.
  • Creating Maintenance SOP’s and oversee implementation.
  • Execution of RCA’s to eliminate repetitive failures and implement definitive solutions
  • Manage planning and maintenance of reactors, mixers, large gearboxes, air and process compressors.
  • Maintenance management and Reliability philosophy such: PM, PdM, NDT, P&S, RCA, RCM, and Mechanical Integrity.
  • Petrochemical industry equipment –chemical pumps, compressors, mixers, boilers, vessels, reactors, material handling (auger, conveyor belt, and bucket elevators) 
  • Reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business periodicals and technical manuals.
  • Microsoft Outlook and Word.
