We are seeking a motivated individual to join our recycled PET (rPET) Procurement team based out of our Charlotte, NC facility. The ideal candidate for the Senior Buyer position will be results driven, motivated by challenges and has excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills. The primary function of this role is to support the raw materials procurement process.

Responsibilities

The Senior Buyer will be reportable to the Strategic Sourcing Manager and have responsibilities for the following tasks:
  • Accountable for the purchase of different raw materials for DAK manufacturing sites from domestic and foreign vendors
  • Monitor and administer import and export processes and related documentation.
  • Coordinate material transportation planning and strategy with freight and carrier vendors.
  • Manage / Maintain PFR (Purchase for Resale) Processes and Administration.
  • Responsible for material distribution and inventory control.
  • Administration of Quality Management System with applicable vendors.
  • Tracking of Invoicing Accuracy.
  • Generate market intelligence data and trends for stakeholder review.
  • Prepare reporting and analyze data related to inventory allocation, current volume and pricing metrics, and procurement forecasting.
  • High level of interaction and exposure with internal groups (operations, supply chain, finance, etc.)
  • Develop new strategies and partnerships in order to more effectively compete for greater material volume acquisition for production.

Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain
  • Solid interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Strong negotiation and organizational skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong problem-solving capability
  • High Attention to Details
  • Ability to travel to vendors and manufacturing sites on a quarterly basis (~25%)
Preferred:
  • Logistics, Procurement, or Supply Chain experience (1-2 years)
  • SAP Knowledge
  • Powerpoint skills
  • Project Management Training
  • Fluency in French and/ or Spanish a plus
