We are seeking a motivated individual to join our PR - Pearl River manufacturing site's Maintenance and Engineering team located in Bay St Louis, MS. The ideal candidate for the position of Drafter and Document Control will support the site's project engineering team and be responsible for using appropriate software tools to create and maintain technical drawing which contain information on how to build a structure, product or machine, the dimensions, etc.

Responsibilities

The Drafter and Document Control will be reportable the Maintenance/Engineering Manager and have responsibilities for the following tasks:
  • Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.
  • Revise drawing from redlined drawings, drafts or designs, including loop sheets
  • Maintain technical documents and procedure control in the internal systems such P&ID, manual, technical information
  • Maintain update PI&D and document updates base on request from engineer and others such: MOC (redlines), and/or project, etc.
  • Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
  • Specify dimensions, materials and procedures for new designs as required and assign numbers to the equipment’s.
  • Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
  • Other duties as assigned such: as drawing/document control, layout, draw and reproduce illustrations for reference manuals to describe operation and maintenance of mechanical systems.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in Drafting or related field and / or combination of degree and experience
  • Minimum of 3 + years’ experience working
  • Proficient in MicroStation , Autodesk® AutoCAD or related drafting applications
  • Strong communication skills to working with any level of the organization
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with:
    • Document Management Systems
    • Revising redlined drawings, drafts and modification of existing designs
    • Print Reading and Sketching.
    • Interpret and understand technical documents and specifications.
